The Noida International Airport, also known as the Jewar Airport, is all set to become India’s largest and one of the most modern airports. This new airport in UP is expected to boost North India’s connectivity and mark a major leap in Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure development.
Preparations in Full Swing
As the inauguration day approaches, preparations at the airport in Noida are happening at a rapid pace. A massive public rally is expected during the event, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to address the gathering. Many believe this could also become a significant moment for the BJP’s Mission 2027 launch in Uttar Pradesh.
Airport Construction Nearing Completion
The airport spans 1,334 hectares and the first phase of the Noida International Airport is almost finished. This includes:
-
A fully completed runway
-
Taxiways
-
A world-class terminal building

Parking facilities
-
Modern passenger amenities
Once operational, Jewar Airport will greatly reduce traffic pressure on Delhi Airport and become a major aviation hub in North India.
Inauguration Date: Most Likely Before 15 December
Although the final date is yet to be officially announced, government sources indicate that the inauguration could take place any day between December 9 and 15, with high chances that the ceremony will be held before 15 December.
To host the event, a large open ground near the airport complex is being prepared for the public rally. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently visited the site for inspection and directed officials to complete all remaining work with top-level quality and security.
He stated,
“The Noida International Airport is an ambitious project of the state. Any pending security or operational work must be completed at the earliest.”
